History Of Panipat

Panipat:-Panipat is one the neighboring cities of Delhi, the capital city of India. Due to its close proximity to the capital, it is well-developed and well-connected with other parts of the country. As a result, it has become of the tourist getaways for both domestic and international tourists. Some of the places for your sightseeing are like tomb of Ibrahim Lodhi and devi temple.After losing the battle, Ibrahim Lodhi was buried in the city and a tomb was constructed in his memory. Later on, the British constructed a plain slab over the place with Urdu inscriptions on it. The other one is devi temple.It is a temple of a local goddess that exists on the banks of a large tank. You can also visit a temple of Lord Shiva that is situated next to the Devi temple. It is believed that the Shiva temple was built by a Maratha called Mangal Raghunath.

  Ist Battle:-The Tourist Attraction:- Panipat is a well-developed city in Haryana having lot of historic significance. Major battles that changed the ruling face of the country were fought on this land. The city is said to be founded by Pandavas at the time of Mahabharata. Later on, in 1526, it turned into a battle place for the historic fight between Ibrahim Lodhi and Babar that led to the end of the Lodhi dynasty. The battle is famously known as the First Battle of Panipat.first battle was fought between Ibrahim Lodhi and Babur on 21 april 1526. Babur win this war. Ibrahim Lodhi was left to die on battlefield.

IInd Battle :- In 1556, it was again a battleground for the 'Second Battle of Panipat' between Akbar and Vikramaditya. This time it led to the end of the Hindu dynasty and the expansion of the Mughal rule in the entire country. 

III Battle :- Again, the 'Third Battle of Panipat' was fought in 1761 in which the Marathas were defeated by the Afghan invader Ahmad Shah Abdali. This battle marked the beginning of the British rule in the country on a large scale.
